Maja Smiejkowska is a freelance photographer working across commercial and editorial projects. She has covered major global events including the state funeral of Queen Elizabeth II, the coronation of King Charles III, the Cannes Film Festival, and international sporting events such as the Paris Paralympics 2024 and The 152nd Open at Royal Troon.

Her work spans high-profile news, corporate, and editorial assignments for BAFTA and designers including Vivienne Westwood, Victoria Beckham, Holzweiler, 16Arlington, and Molly Goddard. A former board member of the British Press Photographers Association, Maja is an active advocate for the photography community.

Her work has been recognised by the 2024 Event Photography Awards and the 2023 UK Picture Editors Guild Awards. Outside of photography, she enjoys travel, surfing, and roller skating.
